{I am suffering from serious life-lust. I discovered brooklyn to west quite a while ago....get me....but this amazing lady's work has been showing up all over blog world lately and I felt I had to comment. This woman is my inspiration. I heart cakes and I heart carpentry and I heart making stuff. So this gal is definitely up there in my estimations with actual real-life friends of mine who can drive JCBs and cranes, who can grow delicious vegetables and who teach people to be happier, who can cut their own hair decently and make their own furniture, who can dance and swim underwater and give sound advice and make jewelry and dresses and knock em dead cocktails. It seems I am blessed with many outrageously talented women in my life and this post is for ya'll. I heart you}

{Spring is a comin' dear readers! I even took off my mittens today for longer than an hour and actually felt the heat of the sun on my back. How much am I looking forward to wearing stripes and shorts and sitting by the river drinking G&Ts? A-lot...especially as my part of Ye Olde London has the annual Boat Race roaring through it in April. Can't wait!}

{Yeah I know all of blog-world has already brought to your attention this wonderful site where the great cities of Paris and New York are compared side by side in graphic form...but for me (pour moi) it's actually very useful as we debate our future travels- croissant or sub? Red cup or vin rouge? The Boy goes to Paris sometimes for le travaille (or la? Le...la....) and I totally miss out; however I went to NYC for 2 days when I was 16 which was a million years ago, and the Boy has never been....oh the decisions...! Ps - its snowing so we might not be able to go anywhere soon, yay!}

The fact that right now I have a couple of potatoes in the oven and in an hour I will dollop some soft butter on them and they will become fluffy mounds of wonderfulness. I was once told that I was naive and easily-impressed. Yeah...so...?!!!! Look, listen, lap it all in, that's what I reckon}

{I've been stuck indoors all day so as soon as I could I went on the lookout for some outdoorsy visual feasts...and look what I found! My nephew Bailey was chatting to me on the phone earlier and this reminds me of his Lego obsession. Apparently you can design something on the Lego site and then *click* order it ready-assembled! I am not a VIP member of the site so I can't verify this. Bailey is calling again tomorrow night to play his cello down the phone to me so I will double check with him then...!}
